Electrician - Journeyman

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Journeyman Electrician You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
• Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes
• Be able to lead, instruct and layout crew daily.
• The ability to carry out duties and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams and create a materials takeoff list
• Must maintain daily log of job site occurrences
• Understand and follow work rules and procedures
• Clean and neat appearance.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule

​​Qualifications:

• Minimum of Six (6) years experience as an electric an
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Possess safety shoes, hard hat and safety vests.
• Speak English ( Although Spanish is a plus!)
• Strong work ethic along with Communication Skills and interpersonal skills.
• Consent to background check and drug test
• All hand tools/cordless tools a must
• Knowledge of local City & State electrical codes
• Ability to trouble shoot
• Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffold, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
• The “Know how” to operate a scissor lift safely is a plus!
• A Self Starter
• Mastery of California Title 24 lighting control installation
• Accept constructive criticism
• Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
