This is an applicant pool for part‑time temporary faculty in the Digital Media Production disciplines in the Department of Arts, Humanities, Social Science, and Education. The areas taught include:
- Documentary Production

CSM is actively accepting applications for adjunct positions at all campus locations.
Digital Media Production
The college has a significant need for passionate adjunct faculty excited to contribute to the Digital Media Production program. The program uses hands‑on real‑world based curriculum that students learn to write, produce, and direct PSA/commercial, how‑to, talk show, documentary, dramatic film, audio production, graphic design, and website. Students use the latest professional video cameras to film their projects and edit them on Adobe Premiere Pro.
CSM is looking for a dynamic individual who can implement the comprehensive mission of a community college by assessing, documenting, and improving student learning through instruction.
These positions are located at the La Plata, Leonardtown, and Prince Frederick campuses (Digital Media Production on La Plata campus only).
Teaching Responsibilities- Plan, organise, and instruct courses in day, evening, or weekends at the assigned campus.
- Ensure that assigned classes are held as scheduled; communicate all absences and changes to the Course or Program Coordinator.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulate enthusiasm for those subjects.
- Plan each unit or lesson to make each class meaningful.
- Ensure that each programme/class contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currency.
- Teach all classes according to an approved course syllabus and for the required duration.
- Study and utilise students’ learning styles to facilitate the best teaching and learning situations.
- Incorporate instructional technologies in delivery as appropriate.
- Maximise learning opportunities for each student.
- Keep students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
- Keep students informed about their progress throughout the semester or term through prompt grading of papers and other work.
- Demonstrate a genuine concern for each student through individual student conferences, as needed.
- File an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught with the Program Coordinator and the HEA administrative assistant.
- Ensure that each course section is web‑enhanced.
- Use available college online resources (home page, syllabi posting, grade book, etc.).
- Use the college Group Wise email system for professional communication with students, faculty, division chair, and other college personnel with a response time of 48‑72 hours.
- Inform the Course or Program Coordinator of any student concerns or conduct violations within 48 hours of the incident.
- Maintain accurate and complete scholastic records, including attendance records.
- Conduct class evaluations and complete other college evaluations in accordance with college policy.
- Submit academic reports and other documentation in a timely manner and when appropriate.
- Attend all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by college officials.
- Become thoroughly familiar with all college policies and procedures and comply with all college policies and procedures.
