Job Description

Provide day-to-day IT support across multiple secure networks while following established security and compliance standards. Assist with routine system maintenance, software updates, security patching, antivirus monitoring, and basic compliance tasks (including CMMC support). Support administration of SaaS applications and help maintain secure configurations such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), VPN access, firewall rules, and group policies under guidance.

Assist in managing cloud-based identity and access systems to support user authentication across on-premises and cloud environments. Provide support for Microsoft 365 administration through the admin center, helping ensure reliable access to email, collaboration, and productivity tools. Troubleshoot common system, network, hardware, and software issues; assist with system upgrades, hardware replacements, and firmware updates.

This role is ideal for a candidate with foundational IT knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to grow in system and network administration. Occasional holidays and weekend support may be required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide end-user technical support for hardware and software including routine troubleshooting across workstations and mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, vendors, and MSP partners to escalate issues, support IT projects, and assist with deployments or system transitions.
  • Assist with administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including user account management, identity tasks, resource monitoring, and configuration updates.
  • Support system maintenance activities such as patching, updates, antivirus monitoring, and routine health checks for workstations and servers.
  • Help maintain core network components including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPN connectivity, ensuring stable and secure operations.
  • Assist with Active Directory management and cloud identity management, supporting MFA, access control, and security best practices.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to support knowledge sharing and consistent IT operations.
Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years’ experience with IT support including:
    • Routine help desk support
    • Microsoft Office Administration
    • Cloud Technologies
    • Active Directory and SaaS Solutions
    • Hardware and software support
    • Router, switch, and firewall management
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certificate or be able to obtain within 6 months after date of hire
Desired Qualifications
  • Cloud Fundamentals or equivalent certification

  • Typical office environment.
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Occasional standing while working in server rooms or at patch panels.
  • Must be able to lift and move moderately heavy equipment (e.g., routers, switches, servers) typically up to 30–50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for connecting cables, configuring devices, and handling small tools or components.
  • Must be able to view computer screens for long periods.
  • Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and indicator lights.
  • Must be able to climb ladders or crawl in tight spaces for cable runs or equipment installation.
  • May require walking between different buildings or workstations.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with technical teams and end-users.
  • May need to hear alarms, server beeps, or equipment noises indicating issues.
