Clinical Nurse Specialist, Palliative Care Nurse
Fast-paced PRN role providing coverage for vacations, FMLA, Sick and Safe Leave (SSL), and staffing gaps for part-time Wound Care RNs.
Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. Activities include, but are not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care as it relates to the specific needs of the patient. This includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients in the Wound Healing Center.
Responsible for meeting the established Wound Healing Center Standards of Nursing Practice in the management of all assigned patients. Assists physicians with the development and implementation of wound treatment plans and participates in performance improvement review activities. Acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws, JCAHO Standards and professional and ethical practice. Staff assigned to this position are not scheduled to work sufficient hours to qualify for FLSA Exempt status.
To qualify for the position the individual must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in med surg.
Wound Care and outpatient experience preferred.
