Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

La Plata, MD | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as scheduled

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients across a broad patient population including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Monitor and interpret fetal electronic monitoring in accordance with unit protocols
• Float within the Labor and Delivery specialty and to Mother/Baby as needed
• Adhere to all unit scheduling requirements including every other weekend and holidays as they fall
• Complete all onboarding compliance requirements, including labs within 72 hours of contract signing and all compliance documents no later than 5 days prior to start date

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA only) required in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required in hand at time of submission
• NCC C-EFM certification required in hand at time of submission
• CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
• STABLE and NIH certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery RN experience with a strong skillset; first-time travelers accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers may be considered at a reduced rate — contact your recruiter for details
• Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions or special requests

• 2 or more years of Labor and Delivery RN experience preferred
• Experience floating to Mother/Baby units
• Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and onboarding requirements

• Expected 36 or 48 hours per week available depending on selected shift configuration (3x12 or 4x12)
