Staff Accountant – ERP & Inventory Support
Location: LaPorte, Indiana (Onsite)
About the Opportunity for a Staff Accountant – ERP & Inventory Support:• Join a hands-on manufacturing environment where accounting directly supports plant operations and leadership decisions.
• Work closely with plant managers and long-tenured team members in a collaborative, team-focused culture.
• Opportunity to strengthen ERP, inventory, and cost accounting skills while contributing to operational accuracy.
• Perform daily cycle counts and complete cycle count reconciliations; research discrepancies and collaborate with plant teams to resolve variances.
• Assist with inventory adjustments, divisional transfers, and ERP updates to maintain system accuracy.
• Process and close manufacturing orders (MOs) and ensure proper cost allocations.
• Run daily and weekly production, inventory, and costing reports for plant leadership.
• Support ERP transactions including posting collections and maintaining accurate financial and operational data.
• Participate in weekly meetings with plant managers to review inventory, variances, and operational activity.
• Communicate proactively with plant managers and team members to gather information and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Required ERP experience (manufacturing ERP strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of debits and credits and general accounting principles.
• Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and manufacturing environments.
• Comfortable working in a plant setting and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Strong initiative, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Excel and reporting functions.
Salary: $50,000 to $54,000
