Staff Accountant
Location: LaPorte, Indiana (Fully Onsite)
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000
We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing manufacturing team in LaPorte, Indiana. This fully onsite position is ideal for an accounting professional with 2–5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working with cost accounting, financial reporting, and operational analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience supporting month‑end close, and a passion for identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities- Support the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Perform cost accounting analysis, including inventory, manufacturing variances, labor, material, and overhead cost analysis.
- Prepare financial reports, analyze operating results, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, physical inventory, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with operations and plant leadership to ensure financial accuracy and support strategic decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, including at least one year in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting, and month‑end close.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and Excel skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
