Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Payroll Specialist for our retail (home improvement) client to start immediately at $28-$30/hr DOE. Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing all payroll functions and maintaining accurate employment records. This position requires a thorough understanding of payroll processing, union reporting, accounting principles, company policies, and employment file management.

Payroll Processing
  • Analyze, prepare, and process weekly payroll data.
  • Review per diem and travel information with Human Resources.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports, including gross wages, hours worked, vacation accruals, tax and benefit deductions.
  • Prepare and file tax forms and reconciliations, such as W-2s, 1095s, and related documentation.
  • Submit monthly and quarterly withholding tax payments to federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Prepare general correspondence, reports, charts, and other documentation as needed.
  • Enter and manage data in various software systems.
Employee Records & Compliance
  • Process unemployment claims, wage garnishments, and employment verifications.
  • Maintain accurate employee, training, and DOT records.
  • Manage documentation for multi-state payroll forms and payments.
  • Provide guidance on multi-state tax withholding requirements to staff.
Benefits & Deductions
  • Review and verify monthly healthcare invoices and allocate costs by division.
  • Audit benefit rosters to confirm employee additions, deletions, and contribution accuracy.
General Administrative Support
  • Maintain and secure sensitive information and account credentials.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, printing, and data entry.
  • Provide phone and customer service support, communicating professionally with employees, management, and external partners.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in office administration, timekeeping, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in accounting or payroll.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing software.
  • Understanding of multi-state payroll and tax withholding requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard business applications.
  • Must meet all physical and safety requirements outlined for the position.
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes of office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
