As a Juvenile Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside educators and program staff to provide academic support, classroom assistance, and student engagement activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to helping young people overcome challenges and achieve educational goals. You will assist with lesson delivery, classroom management, and individualized student support while contributing to a safe and productive learning environment.

- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
- Support students with academic assignments and learning objectives
- Encourage positive behavior and student engagement
- Monitor classroom activities and maintain a safe learning environment
- Provide individualized assistance to students who require additional support
- Assist with educational assessments and progress tracking
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred - Experience working with youth, students, or educational programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- Strong organizational and classroom support skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow program guidelines
- Background screening eligibility, if required
- Previous experience in juvenile education or youth development programs
- Classroom management experience
- Knowledge of special education support techniques
- CPR or First Aid certification
- Experience with educational technology tools
