About the Role:We're seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager (ITIM) to support one of our leading hyperscale data center clients in La Porte, IN
. This role is ideal for a professional with experience managing IT hardware construction
, including server rack deployment, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and infrastructure readiness within a mission-critical construction environment. You'll work closely with client IT teams, contractors, vendors, and project leadership to coordinate hardware installation, testing, network readiness, turnover, and operational milestones while ensuring successful delivery of complex data center infrastructure.
- Coordinate IT infrastructure installation, testing, and operational readiness activities.
- Coordinate low-voltage contractors and resolve scope, sequencing, and scheduling conflicts with project stakeholders.
- Track IT hardware, materials, equipment deliveries, logistics, and project dependencies.
- Monitor and communicate project risks, gaps, and dependencies to Client ITIM leadership.
- Review and validate as-built documentation, system labeling, testing records, and turnover packages.
- Partner with client IT and network teams on cutover planning, acceptance criteria, and readiness milestones.
- Support documentation, governance, reporting, and milestone tracking across all IT infrastructure work streams.
- Provide regular status updates and readiness reporting for key project milestones.
- IT readiness reports for major project milestones.
- As-built validation logs for low-voltage and rack deployment systems.
- IT equipment and material delivery trackers.
- System turnover documentation and completion checklists.
- 5-10 years of IT infrastructure management experience in a data center, mission-critical, or large-scale construction environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting IT hardware construction, including server rack deployment, structured cabling, hardware installation, and infrastructure integration during construction.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, and rack deployment standards.
- Experience coordinating network cutovers, commissioning activities, and IT turnover processes.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to identify, escalating, and track risks while supporting multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
