This role focuses on operating roller machines in a production environment. You will set up and run machinery, load materials, and ensure consistent output while working independently in your designated work cell. The position requires regular use of precision measuring tools and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for the duration of the shift.

• Set up roller machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
• Load raw materials into the machines and ensure proper alignment and feed rates.
• Operate roller machines efficiently to meet production targets of approximately 140 rollers per hour.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to measure and verify product dimensions and quality.
• Perform basic assembly and general production tasks as needed to support the manufacturing process.
• Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make minor adjustments to maintain smooth operation.
• Work independently within an assigned cell while coordinating with team members and supervisors as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, including safe lifting practices for loads up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safety.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.

• At least 1 year of machine operating or manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• Proven experience with general machine operation and production processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Comfort working independently in a designated work cell.
• Basic familiarity with general labor and assembly tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform precise measurements.
• Previous exposure to shear or press brake equipment.
• General production and assembly experience beyond the minimum requirements.
• Ability to meet or exceed established production goals in a fast-paced environment.

This is a first-shift position with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role is based in a production facility where you will work in an assigned cell and operate roller machines throughout the shift. The environment involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working with manufacturing equipment and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
