• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients, including administration of medications, medical intakes, and determining patient fit for incarceration as needed.
• Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed.
• Check and change medical dressings as required by the medical provider.
• Perform 14‑day physicals.
• Manage chronic care.
• Provide patient education on health concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform life‑saving measures, taking charge and giving direction as needed.
• Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reactions, overdose, formulary/non‑formulary medications, and medication cost.
• Provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel when needed.
• Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.

Location:

LaPorte County Jail

Shift Opening(s): 6 AM to 6 PM, 3 days per week with every other weekend rotation

Pay Range: $30–$36 per hour based on experience

Bonus: $4,000 Bonus – $1,000 paid at 60 days, $1,000 paid at 6 months, $2,000 paid at 1 year.
