Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a fast-paced rural hospital in La Porte, IN, requiring active IN or compact RN licensure and a minimum 50-mile radius from the facility.

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• De‑escalation training required
• Minimum 1–2 years of ED experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• Valid driver’s license required for consideration

• Fast‑paced rural Emergency Department with 23 beds
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of approximately 4–5:1
• Float required every third weekend; may float to Starke ED
• No on‑call requirements
• EMR:
  Cerner (preferred)
• 13‑week contract duration
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage is subject to blackout based on facility need
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration; no RTO is available during blacked‑out holiday periods
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
