Pro Services Workforce Solutions has partnered with an aerospace investment casting facility that supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in aerospace to fill this opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Technician Apprentice in La Porte, IN.
You’ll be a Pro Services employee working onsite with the customer's maintenance team while you train through the Pro Services Academy
. You'll get paid classroom and hands-on training, real plant experience with guidance and mentorship every step of the way, and a path to earning a U.S. Department of Labor journeyman certificate

Our customer is an aerospace investment casting facility in La Porte, Indiana, supplying jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the industry. Production is on the rise, and the maintenance team is growing to keep up.
There's new and challenging equipment every day

You're newer to the maintenance field but not new to working with your hands. Maybe you're in a maintenance support role
, you're an operator-maintainer
, or you're a diesel mechanic
. Ideally, you've got 2+ years around industrial maintenance, and you bring transferable skills that help you pick up new information quickly.
You're eager to learn, and you put in the work, both on the plant floor and in your online coursework. You're self-motivated, you stay on the move, and you ask questions when you need to. You show up reliably, pay attention to detail, and communicate clearly with your mentors, operators, and teammates. PROSERVICES ACADEMY
Your apprenticeship includes paid, in-person training in Portage, MI
. Housing and per diem are included for every in-person session.
- You'll start with a 3-week in-person training session in November
. - After that, you'll start working onsite in La Porte, alongside the customer's maintenance team.
- You'll return to Portage for 1-week training sessions in January and February
. - Over the next 2 years
, you'll log your on-the-job hours and continue your online training to earn your U.S. Department of Labor journeyman certificate
.
You'll always have guidance and mentorship as you work on:
- Preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Electrical troubleshooting
, including control voltage, single phase, and 480V three phase systems, plus using a meter and a Megger. - Motors, relays, wiring, and sensors
. - Hands-on PLC hardware troubleshooting, including control circuits, fuses, and I/O module status lights.
- Mechanical rebuilds, plus bearings, shafts and seals, and gearboxes
. - Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
, including basic pump rebuilds, seal swaps, and valves. - Visually inspecting and listening to equipment to diagnose the cause of a malfunction.
- Documenting your work in the CMMS
. - Keeping up with your course schedule and reporting your on-the-job training hours for the Department of Labor.
