Job Purpose
Assist Corporate departments in their functions by providing administrative support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming/overflow calls, messages, and visitors.
- Perform administrative and technical duties, including resource scheduling, travel planning, and expense reporting.
- Manage incoming and outgoing documents and other communications (telephone, e‑mail, mail, fax), ensuring timely and confidential handling.
- Act as backup to the receptionist and perform general administrative tasks such as faxing, copying, filing, organizing, mailing, and document development.
- Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence; perform copy and binding work; use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Coordinate meeting needs and maintain meeting rooms, including food/drink replenishment.
- Monitor and restock supplies, kitchen, and other areas as needed.
- Establish and maintain departmental files.
- Undertake special assignments as designated by management.
- Carry out other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job.
- Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries or illnesses immediately.
High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the job. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accuracy in handling sensitive data with confidentiality.
Skills & Abilities- Provide documentation verifying legal work status.
- Read and speak English proficiently.
- Understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines, including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy when preparing and entering sensitive data.
- Work overtime as needed, including holidays and weekends.
