This position is for the  school year.

Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive program of guidance, including counseling services to school assigned. Use a planning process to define needs and priorities of the population served. Provide a proactive, developmental guidance and counseling program for all students to maximize personal, academic, social, and emotional growth and development.

Job Qualifications:

* Three (3) years of successful teaching experience

* Master's Degree

* Valid Texas SBEC Counselor's certificate

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

* Knowledge of counseling protocols and procedures

* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

* Teach campus developmental guidance curriculum consistent with district's guidance program plan and tailored to campus needs

* Plan school guidance and counseling programs to ensure programs meet identified needs, priorities, and objectives

* Counsel individual students and small groups with presenting needs and concerns

* Supervise assigned paraprofessional/clerical staff, as needed

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.

Salary Information (Based on  Compensation Plan):

Minimum: $63,818

Midpoint: $76,022

Assignment: 11 Duty Months/195 Duty Days
