Job DescriptionThe Manager of the College & Career Center supports the implementation of a comprehensive college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) program for all students. This public‑facing role works with the lead counselor, counseling team, and campus administration to execute plans, coordinate activities, and provide resources that support students in exploring and selecting postsecondary pathways.
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
- High School Diploma
- College degree (associate’s or bachelor’s) preferred
- Experience in college admissions, counseling, career readiness, or related field preferred
- Experience working with high‑school students and families
- Knowledge of postsecondary pathways including college, workforce, and military options preferred
- Assist in carrying out college and career readiness plans, activities, and initiatives developed by the lead counselor and campus administration
- Support the day‑to‑day operations of the College & Career Center to ensure a welcoming, organized, and student‑centered environment
- Assist in coordinating a campus calendar of college and career readiness events and activities
- Provide direct organizational and operational support to the Lead Counselor, including managing logistics, coordinating schedules, preparing materials, and assisting with communications
- Provide guidance and assistance to students, under the direction of the counseling team, in navigating postsecondary options
- Assist students with college applications, FAFSA/TASFA completion, and scholarship opportunities
- Support the coordination and facilitation of career exploration opportunities such as interest inventories, guest speakers, and job shadowing
- Work in partnership with the lead counselor and counseling team to ensure alignment of services and supports
- Assist in supporting campus‑wide college and career readiness initiatives in collaboration with campus administration and staff
- Support classroom and campus efforts that promote postsecondary awareness and readiness
- Assist in organizing family engagement events related to college and career planning
- Serve as a resource for families seeking information about postsecondary opportunities
- Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with colleges, military representatives, and local businesses
- Assist in promoting College & Career Center events and resources through campus communication channels
- Maintain updated materials, resources, and displays within the center
- Represent the College & Career Center in a professional and supportive manner at campus and community events
- Maintain accurate records of student participation in college and career readiness activities
- Assist with tracking student progress toward CCMR indicators
- Support data collection and reporting processes as directed by the counseling team or administration
- May assist in coordinating volunteers, student aides, or interns
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with district standards and based on the effective execution of assigned duties, collaboration with campus leadership, and support of student college and career readiness outcomes.
Other Information – BenefitsThe District contributes $400 per month to the cost of employee‑only health insurance, which is $175 per month greater than the state required amount of $225 per month.

Salary: $14.31 to $20.17 per hour
