Opportunity
Fox Innovation & Technologies is entering a new era, transforming its spare parts division into a true manufacturer of mission‑critical components for rotating equipment. The Director, Parts Business will be a hands‑on technical and strategic leader, responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling our in‑house parts operation while defining the commercial and technical vision for the parts business. This position is mission‑critical to Fox Innovation’s evolution into a world‑class manufacturer.
The ideal candidate is a mechanically fluent manufacturing professional with deep experience in rotating equipment components (bearings, seals, shafts, impellers, housings, etc.) and a proven ability to drive process capability, profitable growth, and excellent customer support. They will serve as the voice and face of the parts business, shaping what we make, who we make it for, and how Fox Innovation positions itself as a competitive, high‑value manufacturer in the rotating equipment industry.
- Lead the transition from a resale model to full‑scale manufacturing and procurement of precision components for rotating equipment.
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to ensure production of high‑tolerance components that meet or exceed OEM and industry standards.
- Establish and continuously improve machining standards, process documentation, and work instructions for parts.
- Partner with engineering to validate part drawings, tolerances, and materials for manufacturability.
- Build and execute the overall strategy for the parts business, including which industries, customer segments, and equipment types to target.
- Identify the highest‑value components to manufacture in‑house based on market demand, technical feasibility, and margin potential.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop short‑ and long‑term growth plans, capital investment priorities, and capacity expansion roadmaps.
- Track market trends and emerging technologies to position Fox Innovation as a preferred alternative to OEM parts supply.
- Serve as the primary face of the parts business, representing the company with customers, vendors, and industry partners.
- Partner closely with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities, quote new parts, and communicate technical capabilities to customers.
- Engage directly with clients to understand performance issues, reverse‑engineering opportunities, and custom‑manufacturing needs.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable design or process improvements.
- Drive throughput, quality, and cost performance in alignment with company goals.
- Develop and implement a parts stocking strategy within the ERP system (Odoo), supported by market data.
- Manage parts inventories to support customer requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years in machining, parts manufacturing, or engineering operations, ideally with an OEM, rotating equipment manufacturer, or Tier‑1 industrial supplier.
