Senior Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing Technology
Position located at the LaPorte, TX site and reports directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.
Responsibilities- Lead the development of asset management plans and preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Provide mechanical engineering assistance to maintenance and operations, including troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades, with ownership of improvements.
- Monitor processes continually with tools such as Uptime Software, Aspen Process Explorer, and statistical process control to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure maintenance and reliability work management processes are effectively implemented, utilized, and improved.
- Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams related to reliability & safety events.
- Lead failure modes and effects analysis based on equipment type, materials of construction, and operating conditions.
- Identify critical spares required to deliver the required level of reliability.
- Utilize Management of Change (MOC) documents to implement improvements in the production area.
- Participate in the Design for Reliability, Maintenance, and Inspection (D4
RMI) process for new equipment and capital projects. - Lead or participate in site programs such as vibration monitoring, lubrication analysis, and thermography.
- Participate in and lead Process Hazards Analyses for the assigned process.
- Provide shift/weekend coverage for start‑ups, tests, maintenance Turnarounds, or other non‑routine needs.
