Role Summary
The Capital Projects Site Manager is responsible for leading the execution of the capital project portfolio at an assigned INEOS Olefins & Polymers site. The role ensures projects progress from feasibility through design, construction, commissioning, and close‑out in alignment with the O&P stage‑gate process, company standards, and local operational priorities.
Responsibilities- Lead the execution of capital projects, directing internal teams and external contractors while escalating major risks to the Project Execution Manager.
- Ensure site project activities are aligned with business needs, approved plans, and engineering, procurement, and implementation practices.
- Implement approved project management tools, templates, and methodologies to guarantee consistent execution and reporting.
- Monitor project and contractor performance against requirements, KPIs, company standards, and safety expectations, escalating significant issues.
- Drive the full project lifecycle from feasibility, through engineering, construction, commissioning/start‑up, to documentation close‑out, including SAP uploads where applicable.
- Lead lessons‑learned reviews at project close‑out to confirm objectives were met and integrate insights into local practices.
- Prepare and review Decision Support Packages (DSPs) for project sanctioning, coordinating technical inputs, risk assessments, and stakeholder reviews.
- Ensure execution readiness by confirming all prerequisites are addressed for engineering deliverables, funding, contractor selection, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, start‑up/handover, and close‑out.
- Manage project risk and change, applying the formal process to assess financial, schedule, and resource impacts and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain regular stakeholder touch points to review deliverables, progress, and emerging issues, and lead site‑level performance reviews and audits.
- Lead and develop the project management and construction coordination team, providing training, performance feedback, coaching, and fostering a culture of SHE excellence.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives, identify process opportunities, and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with project management policies, procedures, and regulations, and communicate any policy changes to the team.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience executing projects in high‑hazard industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or Infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success leading capital project execution with strong change management, coordination, and cross‑functional integration.
- Track record of reliable delivery in a capital project environment, managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
- Strong planning, organizational, and execution skills with the ability to deliver under challenging deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead change within established organizational frameworks.
- Experience working with engineering design houses, EPC contractors, or construction service providers is preferred.
- Knowledge of the stage‑gate process, project controls (estimating, cost control, schedule management, progress measurement, and document control), and construction management practices.
- Experience implementing quality assurance programs for engineering and construction.

Offer Range: $162,000–$200,000 (commensurate with experience).
