Job Purpose
Support Valve Engineering and Modification Shop with shipping, receiving, and inventory duties. Maintain the flow of stocked and delivered inventory by pulling material from bins, loading/unloading material onto trucks, placing new material arrivals into bins, packing, and moving products and valves (up to 40k lbs), scanning or entering data into the inventory database.
Responsibilities- Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks.
- Inspect material for minimum MRC Global quality requirements.
- Stock and transfer material, tools, and equipment to the appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bind location, size, type, style, and length.
- Mark the material with the correct identifying information.
- Transfer material to and from the shops for modification purposes.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as per customer requirements.
- Pull orders for delivery and stock‑to‑stock transfer.
- Load onto the correct truck or transfer to the packing area using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment.
- Operate stand‑up lift and forklift from 5k through 50k lbs.
- Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments.
- Adhere to required safety policies, guidelines, and training.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and customer safety policies.
- Utilize SAP and SIMS software for parts inventory and performing daily cycle counts.
- Pull part(s) as required to support VEMC Valve Modification utilizing SAP.
- Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.
- Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record at all times.
- Ability to learn about MRC Global, federal, health, and safety regulations.
- Typing and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse operations and business processes.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes (up to 25k lbs), stand‑up lifts, order pickers, and forklifts from 5k through 50k lbs.
- Basic math and good reading skills.
- Provide documentation verifying legal work status.
- Read and speak English proficiently to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.
- Understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines and expectations, including the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
