About the Role

Position:
Centrifuge Process Technician, Hydrocarbon Recovery Facility.

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions safely, honestly, ethically, and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a "Safety First" approach to all tasks, recognizing that operating safely is paramount.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting, pulling, standing for prolonged periods, climbing, and working from ladders and scaffolds.
• Work in potentially hazardous atmospheres and locations, being aware of exposure to petroleum hydrocarbons, benzene, and hydrogen sulfide.
• Understand the inner workings of a centrifuge machine and maintain it accordingly.
• Startup, shutdown, and operate the CSU Process.
• Operate plant equipment, machinery, and processes; conduct permit sampling, laboratory tests, and monitor meters and gauges; keep logs of plant operations and related records.
• Install, repair, and maintain or rebuild equipment and machinery related to the physical plant, including pumps, motors, and variable frequency drives.
• Operate the vacuum truck pump and shift roll‑off boxes as needed in the plant.
• Troubleshoot centrifuge issues, monitor flow volumes, and maximize separation of oil while optimizing percent solids.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance rules and regulations.
• Wear and properly use a variety of PPE, including Levels A, B, C, and D, e.g., face, hand, foot, eye protection, and respiratory equipment.
• Collaborate with EH&S, HR, and Training Departments to ensure current training and drug screening.
• Complete required paperwork, including Safe Work Permits, Inspection Forms, JSA’s, and Safety Audits.
• Be available for "On Call" duty during emergencies or special situations.
• Act as a team player that leads by example.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Reworld management.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of plant work experience and operating a centrifuge, preferably a horizontal decanter type.
• Effective communication skills with vendors and manufacturers to troubleshoot machine problems.
• Adequate math skills for calculating machine throughput, volume calculations, data analysis, organization, record preparation, and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for generating operational matrices.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and terminology for installing, rebuilding, maintaining, and repairing centrifuges and auxiliary equipment.
• Experience unloading/loading tanker trailers.
• Skill in operating, repairing pumps, valves, and related mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Skill in operating and programming PLC instruments and panels.
• Laboratory treatment testing for product qualification.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and adapt to changing operating conditions.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
• Ability to work shift schedules as required.

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Strong computer skills.
• Verifiable previous experience in automated plant operations.

• Pass a Respirator Fit test.
• Pass a Basic Plus safety class at HASC, in English.
• Pass a 40‑hour HAZWOPER training class.
• Complete OSHA 10‑hour training, PPE training, Hazard Communication training, SWPPP training, and Spill Prevention Plan training.
• Pass "B" (Basic‑Outside) Operator training requirements.
• Pass "A" (Advanced‑Control) Operator training requirements.
• Complete additional training as necessary for the tasks at hand.

• Work up to 12 hours in varying outside climates.
• Stand, walk, carry, stoop, crouch, sit, grasp, and reach as required.
• Lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 lbs.
• Pass Hazwoper physical fitness.

USD 47,400.00 – 63,100.00 for the primary location. Salaries are reviewed periodically and may be modified.
