Job Summary The Jr. Machine Operator is responsible for assisting in the operation of manufacturing machinery under supervision.
This entry-level role supports production by performing basic tasks and learning to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
This job profile is intended for entry-level support staff who follow specific instructions and procedures, with supervision provided for non-routine situations.
Tasks can be carried out after basic training or demonstration.
This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility:
Small, Medium, Large, Division / Extra Large organization.
- Assist in setting up and operating machinery.
- Monitor equipment and report issues to supervisors.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Follow safety and operational procedures.
- Record production data and support quality checks.
- Learn and apply standard operating procedures.
- May require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and the ability to carry out assigned tasks after initial instruction or demonstration.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and safety awareness.
