Packaging Operator

Openwork is currently seeking dependable and hardworking Packaging Operators to join a fast-paced warehouse and production environment in La Porte, TX! This position is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working rotating shifts and performing hands-on packaging and general labor duties.

As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling packaging materials, labeling, palletizing, stacking, and repacking materials. You may also operate packaging and transfer equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Assemble boxes, lids, and other packaging materials
• Staple, label, stack, and palletize finished products
• Perform packaging and repacking duties as assigned
• Operate packaging and transfer equipment following established procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform general labor and warehouse support duties as needed
• Follow all packaging, quality, and safety procedures
• Wear required PPE and comply with OSHA and company safety guidelines
• Work independently while maintaining speed and accuracy

• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor warehouse environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
• Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Schedule:

Rotating Day/Night Shifts

• 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
