Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across WYATT's Specialty service lines, including industrial paint & coatings, insulation, scaffolding, refractory, and water cutting. This role focuses on strategic account development, early project engagement, and positioning WYATT as the contractor of choice for complex specialty scopes within the refining, petrochemical, chemical, and industrial markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and target accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Promote WYATT's specialty service capabilities and value proposition
  • Engage early with clients to influence project planning and scope development
  • Support sales pursuits through estimating, negotiations, and final close
  • Monitor market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Provide feedback on client programs, active work, and marketing initiatives
  • Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned
  • Travel as required to support business development activities
Qualifications
  • Degree preferred but not required
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, ideally within refining, petrochemical, chemical, or industrial markets
  • Proven understanding of the sales process with the ability to influence, negotiate, and close business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; results-driven and client-focused
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related sales tools
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based with travel to client sites as needed
  • Standard physical requirements associated with office and field sales activities
