Position Summary

National Accounts Manager – Industrial based in Houston, Texas. The role focuses on acquiring and developing regional and national customer base, growing sales, and developing a long‑term plan that meets customers’ needs while achieving sales, profitability and productivity goals.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows and other customer activities to build relationships with key customers and vendors.
  • Maintain customer retention through monthly financial reviews, project management and execution of program strategy.
  • Collaborate with credit, purchasing and branch associates to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Develop, analyze and communicate market information and new product/business opportunities to field sales, marketing and operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely quotations, orders and credit requests and update internal teams on program progress.
  • Maintain a strong price matrix and price agreements for regional account customers; identify and market new products and services.
  • Manage relationships with decision makers and influencers, providing routine follow‑up with inside support and field sales.
  • Travel as needed up to 50% and represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety rules and corporate programs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5years of sales management or extensive outside sales experience.
  • Prior experience in contract negotiation and issue resolution.
  • Strong leadership, presentation, coaching and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent financial acumen and ability to analyze numbers quickly.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Ferguson’s operational system and the ability to drive system efficiencies.
  • Attention to detail, integrity and professionalism.
