Position: Customer Sales and Service Representative

Job Location: La Porte, TX (Leader Gasket)

Job Type: Full‑Time

Status: Non‑Exempt

The function of the Customer Sales and Service Representative is to provide direct support to the Branch Managers and Sales Representatives in the ongoing development of existing and prospective Leader Gasket/LGG Industrial customers to ensure that the Branch is able to meet its growth targets.

• Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
• Partner with Sales Representatives to provide sales quotes
• Process incoming inquiries into company sales system
• Quote customers using working knowledge of product
• Successfully achieve budgeted Branch sales goals
• Assist A/R personnel in creating and establishing new accounts and follow up on collections
• Coordinate with Sales Representatives and Branch management to keep account activities updated
• Monitor delivery date commitments and expedite where appropriate
• Monitor customer specific inventory for sales order fulfillment
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
• Provide technical/service support to account management, branch management and internal and external customers
• Perform other duties as trained and qualified for

• Minimum of 1 year Business to Business Customer Service Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Moderate computer skills including MS Word, Excel, internet, customer portals and email
• Ability to perform basic math
• Reliable transportation is a must
• Ability to work nights and weekends, as required
• Ability to work overtime, as required
• Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on‑site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)

• 1‑3 years of customer service experience in industrial distribution
• Previous experience utilizing an ERP system
• Product knowledge in hose, gasket and conveyor systems a plus

This position is primarily based in an office environment but may occasionally require visits to the warehouse for order‑related follow‑ups. The warehouse environment may include fluctuating temperatures (both hot and cold), varying noise levels, exposure to dust, and other typical elements of an active industrial environment.
