Job Description

As a Security Officer TWIC Checkpoint Driver in La Porte, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post that supports security-related operations while helping to deter incidents through a visible presence.

Job Schedule
  • Mon: 05:30 PM – 05:30 AM
  • Tue: 05:30 PM – 05:30 AM
  • Wed: 05:30 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Sun: 05:30 PM – 05:30 AM
What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and site personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor and vehicle activity in accordance with site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Support security‑related operations within an industrial chemical and petrochemical location by following post orders, maintaining required logs, and reporting access‑related concerns promptly.
Minimum Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA‑issued TWIC is required.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
