I & E Technician

Clean Harbors is searching for a licensed, reliable, and safety-oriented I&E Technician to join our Deer Park, TX team. The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands‑on instrument checks, calibrations, PLC ladder logic, diagnosing control circuitry issues, and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

$14.00/hr – $39.00/hr

• Ensure that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Troubleshoot instrument and control malfunctions
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required
• Install new system controls (including power wiring)
• Install cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
• Service and replace motors and lighting
• Perform general electrical maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Texas Journeyman Electrician license, NCCER Industrial Electrician or military equivalent
• PLC ladder logic
• VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) programming knowledge preferred
• Experience reading blueprints and electronic schematics
• Proficiency reading process and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs)
• Knowledge of data control systems (DCS)
• Experience with 480 V and below
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, stoop, bend, and stand for long periods
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
