Diesel Mechanic - Trucking Center

As a Service Tech III in a Trucking Center at United Rentals, you will perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor repairs of commercial and utility trucks and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of commercial and utility trucks and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner daily
• Demonstrate a wide array of commercial and utility trucks for customers
• Assist with pick‑up and delivery of trucks & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 1-2 years of automotive/light truck and/or diesel experience for repairing/maintaining commercial and utility trucks; or trade school graduate
• 1-2 years of above-chassis rotation experience or relevant training
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
