Responsibilities- Select cables, ropes, pulley, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.
- Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms with bolts and clamps.
- Assemble and disassemble cranes.
- Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.
- Attach load with grappling devices, such as loops, wire rope and chains, to crane hook.
- Give direction to operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material using hand signals and radios.
- Set up, brace and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
- Observe and monitor others’ compliance with all safety rules.
- Maintain current certifications to meet regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Experience – 4 years of Journeyman‑level experience.
Certification / Licenses – NCCCO Rigger 1 & 2 or Advanced Gold Card NCCER Certification, TWIC Card, and a valid driver’s license.
