Job Description Electrical Foreman – Industrial & Heavy Commercial Projects

La Porte, TX

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to join a well-established electrical contractor specializing in industrial, civil, marine, port, transportation, utility, and heavy commercial projects throughout the Houston area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader who enjoys managing crews, driving project success, and mentoring the next generation of electricians.

• Lead and supervise crews of electricians and apprentices on large-scale electrical projects
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and daily field activities
• Assist with project layout, planning, and execution
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
• Perform quality control inspections and maintain workmanship standards
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
• Manage material takeoffs and help control project costs
• Troubleshoot and resolve field issues as they arise
• Maintain accurate daily reports and as‑built documentation
• Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final inspections
• Mentor and develop electricians and apprentices

• Texas Journeyman Electrician License
• 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Foreman leading crews of 4–10 electricians
• Experience managing electrical projects valued at $1M+
• Strong background in industrial, civil, marine/port, or heavy commercial construction
• Experience with:
  • Conduit installation
  • Wire pulling and terminations
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Motors and motor controls
  • Lighting systems
  • Underground electrical installations
• Medium‑voltage experience up to 35kV
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to effectively manage schedules, manpower, and project priorities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
• Conduct jobsite safety meetings and hazard assessments
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Lead by example and maintain a productive, team‑oriented work environment

• Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug screenings
• Ability to work in secure facilities, including schools, hospitals, and government buildings
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
