Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a Maintenance Helper to support our La Porte, TX facility. The role maintains golf carts and other small machinery and maintains mechanical equipment fluid levels to support the business, utilizing a general knowledge of mechanical methods and techniques.

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on a variety of equipment.
• Make required repairs and adjustments to equipment fluid levels.
• Make necessary repairs to carts and buggies, including engine replacement, brakes, etc.
• Diagnose electrical systems on carts, buggies and small engines.
• Fuel equipment twice per shift.
• Perform repairs on golf carts, buggies and other equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Maintain tools to be operational.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Must pass the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test II.
• Ability to perform repairs and diagnose electrical systems on golf carts, buggies and small engines.
• Must understand schematics to troubleshoot 12‑/24V systems.
• Diesel certification preferred.
• Air conditioning certification or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to use a cutting rig (propylene cutting torch).
• Must be flexible to change direction at a moment’s notice.
• Computer literate.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, climb and stand for long periods.
