Heavy Equipment Foreman
The Heavy Equipment Foreman will oversee and manage civil equipment crews.
ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools required for tasks.
Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
Manage multiple crews in regards to scheduling, processes and sequences, time, and cost. Illustrate in-depth knowledge of all civil processes.
Physical Requirements
Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
Will talk and hear to communicate.
Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
Reports to Position
This position will be responsible for a crew of up to 5-15 craft workers. The crew will be a mix of journeyman, helpers, and laborers.
QualificationsQualification Highlights
Must have 4+ years' experience as a dirt operator, and 2+ years in a supervisory position.
Must possess all Knowledge
Skills and Abilities

Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
Must have reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
Leadership Abilities
Ability to manage multiple crews.
Ability to plan out the workload for multiple crews and multiple processes.
Ability to perform all job duties of craft trade.
Ability to read and understand IFC drawings.
Understand when to stop production work and when an RFI needs to be initiated.
Read and understand craft specs and cut sheets, craft spec procedures, and recommendations
Plan work and execute
Ability to take drawings, required material, line out helpers and execute work
Equipment Knowledge - Basic maintenance (inspections) and Safe operations practices
Ability to find footage, utilize addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions to perform all craft duties.
Preferred Additional Qualification
Current Zachry/JV employee
