Local Delivery Driver; Class A w​/Airbrakes & Hazmat

Overview

Local Delivery Driver (Class A with Airbrakes & Hazmat) – La Porte, TX (Open).

• Cylinder Handling
  :
  Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.

• Record Keeping
  :
  Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest; obtain customer signatures for receipt; collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them for refilling.

• Safety and Compliance
  :
  Adhere to Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).

• Warehouse Support
  :
  Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License.

• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.

• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.

• Must have one (1) year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years with a clean driving record (no more than two (2) convictions), or two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; or a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.

• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or provide proof of a trucking school completion certificate within the last 12 months.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must be able to obtain site-specific certifications.

• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

• Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with assistance.

• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is required.

• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

• Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.

• Bilingual in Spanish (fluent in speaking, reading, and writing).
