Local Delivery Driver – Class A w/Airbrakes & Hazmat (Open)
Location:
La Porte, TX – Miller Cut-Off Rd – Retail Shop
Pay: $27 per hour, Bonus Potential
Work Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, Day Shift

Key Responsibilities- Cylinder Handling:
Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations. - Record Keeping:
Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. - Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. - Warehouse Support:
Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

- Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last 5 years and a clean driving record, limited to no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years.
- 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 5 years, or proof of certificate of completion from trucking school within the last 12 months.
- At least 21 years old.
- Ability to obtain site‑specific certifications.
- Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76–125+ lbs. with material handling equipment.
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending required.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must obtain a forklift operator certification.
- Bilingual in Spanish (fluent speaking, writing, and reading).
