Forklift Operator; Line Driver

Job Description

Openwork is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator for an opportunity in La Porte, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse, supply, storage, and distribution operations and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position involves inbound and outbound orders, inventory, storage, and accurately documenting packaged materials from the conveyor line.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and support daily warehouse operations
• Handle inbound and outbound orders, inventory, and storage
• Move and document packaged materials from the conveyor line
• Follow specific dock and material-handling procedures with a high level of accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment
• Assist with general labor and other warehouse duties as needed
• Work independently with little or no supervision
• Provide professional and courteous customer service when needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, including possible extreme weather conditions
• Valid/current driver's license required
• Must pass the client's Forklift Driver Exam – theory and hands-on practice
• Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be punctual and ready to work at the start of each shift
• Must be willing to work additional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to follow procedures, instructions, and safety requirements

• Location: La Porte, TX 77571
• Pay: $16.50/hour
• Schedule: Rotational 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
