Warehouse Associate

ABOUT QCD: Established in 2006, Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of GSF, is a custom last-mile distribution company specializing in tailored solutions for selected food service industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD services thousands of restaurants throughout the United States. Providing over 37,000 deliveries a week from 25 strategically located distribution centers, the QCD fleet averages more than 40 million miles driven per year.

QCD associates also help run a national non‑profit, the GSF Foundation.

• Act as a key player in the warehouse team, moving, managing, and delivering products efficiently and safely.
• Operate material handling equipment: electric pallet jacks and reach forklifts (certified).
• Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, Vo‑Collect headset, WMS) to track orders and inventory.
• Follow QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols.
• Load and unload trailers efficiently and safely; secure pallets and verify shipping documentation.
• Assist dock operations, staging and organizing shipments.
• Use the voice‑directed picking system (Vo‑Collect headset) to pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow FEFO procedures for food products.

• Comfort working in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with warehouse management systems, electric pallet jack, and Vo‑Collect headset.
• Electric pallet jack certification and at least 6 months of safe operation experience (preferred).
• Valid electric pallet jack certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation (for picker).
• Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation.
• Use a voice‑directed picking system accurately (for picker).

• Full‑time, on‑site in a temperature‑controlled warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer:
  
  -5 °F to 38 °F).
• Primarily a 4‑day work week, with shifts typically starting between 3 AM and 5 PM; weekend and holiday availability required.
• Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.

• $26 per hour.
