Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves managing full-cycle accounting tasks for multiple units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to the company's success.

Responsibilities:

- Handle full-cycle accounting responsibilities for assigned units, serving as their primary accountant.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each unit and ensure timely submission.

- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accruals, maintaining a thorough understanding of debits and credits.

- Assist with audits and provide accurate financial documentation as needed.

- Conduct variance analysis, manage sales tax filings, and oversee fixed asset accounting.

- Meet strict deadlines, ensuring financial reports are completed by the 15th of each month.

- Collaborate with Senior Accountants for guidance on escalated issues or technical inquiries.

- Utilize intermediate Excel proficiency for data analysis and reporting.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes and systems.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.

- Proficiency in intermediate Excel is essential for success in this role.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.

- Familiarity with tasks such as sales tax, journal entries, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the company.

- Commitment to completing work accurately and on time, even under tight deadlines.
