The Disbursements Associate is a role within the accounting department with a specific focus on Accounts Payable functions ensuring accuracy and sufficient support to process payments to all business vendors on time, building strong vendor relationships, optimizing cash flow, and partnering in the maintenance of accurate financial records. The Disbursements Associate will support various aspects of accounting for GOVX. This position reports to the Ecommerce Disbursements Manager.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure vendor invoices and credits are entered and properly classified for all Vendors assigned to you.
- Execute Weekly check runs for all Vendors assigned to you.
- Maintain pertinent vendor data within accounting software.
- Support the Ecommerce Disbursements Manager to ensure timeliness and accuracy of outgoing disbursements.
- Provide support as needed for the annual financial audit preparation and queries.
- Additional Disbursement duties as necessary.
- 2+ years experience in related field.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with querying reports in accounting software.
- Easygoing and positive attitude; collaborative, team player.
- Sharp attention to detail.
Travel would be for specific, infrequent purposes, such as company-wide events, corporate meetings, or specialized training that is not offered while working onsite.
Working Conditions and Required EquipmentThis position requires on-site attendance in La Vergne, Tennessee, for eight hours each workday beginning at 8:30 a.m. local time.
Physical/Mental DemandsThe job is primarily sedentary, but it includes some light physical activity such as lifting files, opening cabinets, and bending or standing. The mental demands are significant, requiring strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and data interpretation skills.

Pay Range
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
