Job SummaryProvides technical support and problem solving for manufacturing operations. This position works within the manufacturing plant to identify opportunities and improve processes. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of organization.
Key Job Responsibilities- Ability to properly define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions using standard problem solving and data analysis tools (5‑Why, A3, 8D, DMAIC, etc.).
- Able to create, access and improve CNC programming to reduce Cycle Time and Cost.
- Develop, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes, including corresponding documentation supporting our safety, quality, and production systems.
- Provides leadership and assistance in implementing lean manufacturing methodologies throughout the plant.
- Analyzes data to determine and recommend changes in method, tooling, and equipment to reduce costs.
- Provides input on capital projects, engineering change processes, supplier quality corrective action reports, and new product development projects.
- Ability to manage multiple demands with a sense of urgency.
- Identifies and works to eliminate variability in standard manufacturing processes.
- Support process and equipment reliability.
- Minimum of 4‑year technical degree or related manufacturing experience in CNC grinding, programming, machine tool design, and related manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering documentation.
- Working knowledge of CAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience in creative problem solving and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
