The Bilingual Learning and Development Coordinator supports the quality system through releasing documentation following established procedures and translating English language documents to Spanish as required. The translation method is a combination of computerized/automated translations with verification manually, to full manual translations as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Releases documentation to our Document Control Center after verifying appropriate approvals are received.
  • Translates documents as required using a combination of software-based and manual translation techniques from English to Spanish.
  • Adds documents to Training database as needed.
  • Reports on progress and backlog of translations on a regular basis.
  • Assists with live translation as needed during meetings, discussions, training, etc. as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer experience; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and E-mail
  • Bi-Lingual with demonstrated fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoke, with demonstrated ability to handle technical documentation/language.
  • Experience with in an ISO 9000 certified organization (engineering environment) preferred.

  • Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to develop, write and edit procedural material.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, set priorities.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented. Approaches work in a meticulous and thorough manner.
  • High level of ownership and accountability.
  • Self-starting and self-motivated.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Able to squat to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to stand, stoop and bend.
  • Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.
  • Able to work in warehouse environment with no central heat or air.
