Job Summary and Mission
Provides mechanical and electrical repair of equipment and facilities
Key Job Responsibilities
- Responds to trouble calls and provides equipment repairs.
- Repairs mechanical, electrical, programming, automation, robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic concerns.
- Troubleshoots complex CNC equipment and repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintains inventory of necessary spare parts and engages in emergency part orders.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance activities in coordination with the SAP PM application.
- Escalates concerns to the Maintenance Manager when repairs cannot be completed in a timely manner.
- Provides guidance on normal equipment operation to operators.
- Effectively hands off repaired equipment to operations using the Equipment Turnover policy.
- Tests equipment thoroughly following repair to ensure that further breakdowns don't occur.
Description of Accountability
Commitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures. Deviations in routine are handled according to operating procedures and/or work instructions. Technician responsible for following Lock Out Tag Out procedures while working on equipment. Coordinates repairs to ensure maximum up time of equipment. Must be reliable and dependable. Communicate safety, quality, product issues with Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, and team members across shifts.
Responsible for Manufacturing Readiness of the equipment of a given area. Responsible for ordering spare parts as needed when supplies are low. Effectively performs Preventive Maintenance using SAP PM. Utilizes operating and technical manuals to assist in repair when needed. Notifies Operator and Supervisor when repairs are complete and stays at the machine until proper operation is ensured.
Education and Experience
Must have High School diploma or GED. 2 or 4 year Technical Degree preferred. SAP ERP Prior experience Highly preferred
Environment
Environment with controlled temperatures and dust collection systems. Safety glasses with side-shields required. Safety Shoes are required. Gloves, cut resistant gloves when necessary.
Physical Demands
Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period. Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds.
Problem Solving
Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns due to mechanical, electrical, programming, automation, robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic concerns. Determines necessary repairs and performs them. Troubleshoots facilities maintenance concerns. Determines best repair in response to SAP PM results. Seeks guidance from Maintenance Manager, OEM consultants, Operating and Technical Manuals, and other Technicians as needed to Troubleshoot concerns with the equipment and facilities. Determines best repair for a given situation that effectively solves the problem and ensures maximum up time.
