Position: Inventory Recovery Specialist (Rebox)

Job Description Summary

The overall mission of this position involves supplying auto parts and accessories to the Advance Auto Parts store locations. This position is based in the Reclamation Department with Asset Protection/ EHS Manager overseeing the Rebox program. All Advance Auto Parts Team Members will be required to assist in any department (other than their primary department) when and where their assistance is required.

The position may be responsible for performing any number of duties and functions depending upon what department they are primarily assigned to. These departments may include:
Shipping, Receiving, Replenishment Reclamation, Cycle Count, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Selecting orders, shipping orders, receiving product, replenishment, cycle counting, SKU maintenance, and processing returns. Other related duties may be assigned.

Sort and place product or items by pick type and by zone or location.

Transports product from receiving to racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product.

Fills replenishment orders, or request for sku’s, or other stock items and distributes them to pick location.

Select store orders from pick location and place orders on conveyor or pallet. Orders are then delivered to the shipping dock.

Shipping dock palletizes the conveyed product by store and shrink wraps palletized product.

Marks pallets with identifying information.

Shipping Loads pre-marked pallets on the truck. Records on manifest pallet position in trailer.

Uses computer to enter records.

Maintains inventory records. Inventory Control – Cycle counting, auditing, physical inventory.

Processing store returns (cores, defects, damages, recalls, and new product returns)

Will be required to use a hand held radio frequency device (R.F. Unit)

Must be certified or willing to be certified on necessary powered industrial equipment.

Compliance with goal standards set forth by leadership.

Consistent, reliable attendance.

Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Prior warehouse experience or training is preferred but not required. High school diploma or GED required. One to three years related experience and/or training; or some equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule

Consistent, reliable attendance.

Flexible to work in various departments and locations as required.

Overtime as required. Weekends as required. Holiday’s as required. Flexible to work in various shifts, departments and locations as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear. The Team Member will be frequently required to stop, kneel and crouch. The Team Member occasionally will be required to sit, climb, or balance.

The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually high (loud).
