The PSSR position is responsible for the coverage, development and retention of a specific group of customers within a specifically assigned sales territory in order to maximize customer satisfaction and product confidence for the manufacturers offered through Power Equipment Co. This will primarily occur as a result of regular customer job site, shop or maintenance facility visits, promoting all applicable product support offerings in an effort to increase parts sales volume and general knowledge of Power Equipment Companies offerings for machine repair solutions.
PSSRDuties & Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain excellent customer relationships, i.e.:
External, Internal. - Develop and maintain relationships with the proper Customer personnel.
- Pass along leads to assigned PECO CSR for additional support such as complete machine inspection, service estimates, machine repair scheduling, or PM agreements to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Take ownership of customer parts issues and follow‑up through closure of issues.
- Inspect, measure and track undercarriage wear for future planning.
- Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs associated with company‑supplied vehicle to ensure safe and proper operation. Maintain cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Visit Customer jobsite, shop or maintenance facilities to observe and develop an awareness of potential parts or service needs and record information into the computer database (crm Series).
- Become familiar with customer machines and applications.
- Respond to all customer requests courteously and professionally in a timely and responsive manner.
- Utilize existing software programs (such as CRM) to create and maintain customer and machine data.
- Ensure machine files reflect make, model, serial number, smu, etc.
- Ensure customer files reflect address, contact names, phones, etc.
- Ensure call files reflect date, contact name, subject discussed, opportunities, etc.
- Adhere to the prescribed frequency of customer visits set in crm Series by the PAR system (Parts Representative C – 4 calls per year or D – 2 calls per year), as determined by Branch Parts Manager and Product Support Manager.
- Present and promote PSPs endorsed by PECO which enhance its core product satisfaction and confidence.
- Work in conjunction with branch CSRs to promote PSPs.
- Ensure all customers within the assigned territory are familiar with available PECO products and services.
- Develop, attend, and participate in PSP events and promotions.
- Take on special projects as assigned.
- Relative 2‑year college degree, technical/diesel college graduate, or relative military training program minimum.
- Mid‑level computer experience (MS Office, CRMseries, DOS, etc.).
- 2+ years of college or 5+ years of utility/construction/mining equipment industry experience.
- Prior industry repair/maintenance shop management experience preferred.
- Positive personality, team player, problem solver, self‑starter, outstanding integrity, superior communicator.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight periodically for product training or company‑related business.
- Must pass background check, employment physical and drug screen.
