Job Description

  • Patrolling:
    Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior to check doors, windows, and gates for security breaches.
  • Access Control:
    Monitor site and building entrance points, verify visitor credentials, and manage staff/visitor sign‑ins.
  • Weapons Detection:
    Operate and advise on the onsite weapons detection system (Evolv) and respond/intervene when weapons are detected to protect the site and staff.
  • Surveillance/Investigate:
    Monitor alarm systems and CCTV cameras to detect unauthorized activity; review unlawful activity or policy violations for reporting and escalation; use off‑site law enforcement for a controlled response.
  • Incident Response:
    Serve as the first responder to emergencies, disturbances, or safety hazards, contacting law enforcement or fire departments as necessary.
  • Incident Management:
    Respond to emergency situations, gain control of the situation, abate or resolve problems and regain control of the area; report and escalate when needed.
  • Reporting:
    Produce daily, accurate reports detailing observations, incidents, and security checks.
  • Enforcement:
    Enforce company policies and uphold safety regulations, including removing trespassers if necessary.
  • Inspections:
    Perform life and safety‑critical inspections on key building areas and equipment on a required frequency (daily/hourly).
  • Asset Inspection:
    Inspect outbound TMs for product handling in the building; detect potential theft situations and respond accordingly.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and understanding of all aspects of inventory movement in a DC.
  • Proficient in writing, Microsoft Excel, MS‑Outlook, and MS‑Word.
  • Strong partnership, team‑oriented with interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Perform assigned role with credibility and integrity.
  • Passion for auditing with high attention to detail.
Recommended Experience / Training
  • Experience with WMS.
  • Experience with RF scanning devices.
  • Work history showing good attendance and no disciplinary actions.
  • At least one year of experience in a warehouse/distribution security role.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or homeschool equivalency.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Ability to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Preferred:
    Previous security, safety, and/or warehouse exposure.
Physical Expectations
  • Stand for 7–8 continuous hours with limited breaks.
  • Climb ladders and navigate uneven ground.
  • Stooping, kneeling, and crouching frequently.
  • Occasionally sit, climb, and balance; lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds with teammate assistance.
