Your Key Accountabilities
As our Local Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials and finished goods between our warehouse and manufacturing plant in LaVergne, Tennessee. Specifically, this will include:
- Inspecting equipment;
- Properly placarding equipment;
- Maintaining shipping paperwork and delivery documentation;
- Weighing and ensuring proper cleaning of tankers and trucks;
- Verifying trailers and tankers are properly secured for loading and unloading;
- Moving tankers and truckloads of material safely over the road in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements;
- Communicating with production and shipping on scheduling;
- Assisting with warehouse material moves as needed;
- Other duties as needed.
Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenge they face. For this position, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
- Class A CDL
- Tanker and hazmat endorsements
- Valid DOT medical certificate
- At least 2 years' commercial driving experience
- Any additional qualifications required by the DOT
- Forklift experience (preferred)
This position is located at the Palm Commodities International, LLC facility. The facility is a Drug‑Free Workplace, and pre‑employment drug testing is required.
Our Local Shuttle Drivers are paid on an hourly basis and eligible for overtime. Standard work hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
Benefits are available starting the first of the month after hire.
