Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Operations by managing materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. It includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations performs and controls a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:30pm (overtime per business needs).
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build relationships with commercial carrier partners.
- Ensure carriers follow guidelines in day‑to‑day operations based on Cardinal Health's policies and procedures.
- Monitor freight and KPI reporting.
- Expedite urgent shipping requests.
- Handle customer complaints, investigate delivery issues, and report outcomes to the internal Customer Service Group.
- Provide guidance or technical assistance to organizational projects.
- Train and be certified to drive material handling equipment (e.g., order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider) as required by job duty.
- 2–4 years of experience in shipping.
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
- Problem‑solving and multi‑tasking skills, adaptable to change and able to reprioritize on short notice.
- Apply knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of jobs outside the area of responsibility.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training and certifications.
- Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues.
- Assisting in recommendation of processes on new assignments.
- Adhere to all quality guidelines.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Work occasionally involves review of output by a work lead or supervisor.
- Provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members.
