Job Description Summary

The Information, Events, and Scheduling Services is responsible for a wide variety of tasks as assigned, such as: scheduling campus wide events for both university affiliated and non-university affiliated individuals and organizations, managing the Information Desk at the Abraham Campus Center (ACC), answering questions, knowing locations of events on campus, as well as knowledge of the university as a whole, and delivery and setup of event equipment and resources, while keeping the space clean and free of potential hazards.

Specific Duties
  • Serve as the building host while providing accurate information in a courteous and professional manner to all customers, students, and employees at the front desk or over the phone.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations that include answering phones, handling inquiries, taking messages, and scheduling events by providing the campus community with efficient and courteous information and services.
  • Assist in the set-up of events on campus. Serve as the event liaison host, ensuring that events are set up in a timely manner and to the expectations of customers and guests. Drive the electric vehicle to move equipment to and from event set up and tear downs.
  • Utilize 25 Live to schedule/reserve locations and resources for all events on campus. Answer phone calls and emails to communicate with hosts regarding setting up their events.
  • Responsible for Leo’s Den games, billiard equipment rentals, test forms/blue books distribution and maintaining an accurate check in/out log.
  • Review the schedule of events in the ACC for each day and know where events are located. Contact Leads concerning event requests, building maintenance, and emergency situations. Assist in the set-up of events on campus if needed.
  • Verify, sort, and deliver student mail.
  • Sort, deliver, post and remove flyer postings for bulletin boards on campus.
  • Work and assist with all major university events such as Commencement, Orientation, Homecoming and other major events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Electric Vehicle Cart Training and Licenses, will be obtained while on the job.
