Library Collections Assistant - FWS (2026/2027)

Work Schedule:
Minimum 6 hours per week. Flexible hours based on availability. Students must be available Monday‑Wednesday anytime between 8am‑6pm. On‑campus position.
The Library Collection Assistant will help to describe, arrange, digitize, and showcase materials for the Archives and Special Collections at Wilson Library.
Specific Duties- Process archival materials of various mediums, including processing, organizing, and inventorying.
- Digitize archival materials, ensuring quality control, and uploading material to digital management system.
- Arrange displays throughout the library and campus showcasing milestone events and items of interest from the collection.
- Create and input various forms of data including inventory lists, historic timelines, and metadata for digital collections.
- Photograph archival items and create flyers, social media, and other content to promote the collection.
- Must be a current ULV student.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
- Majoring in or interest in history or political science.
- Interest in photography, video creation and editing, and/or event planning.
- Knowledge of social media.
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours. University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds. In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
